Hey! I finally got around to typing up Nori’s story 8D This one SHOULD be shorter…but I’m not completely sure yet.

Nori Metsuki

“If someone’s pissing you off, blow ‘em off their feet. Simple.”

Nori Metsuki. Age 8. In the Konoha shinobi academy.

You would imagine he would be a great ninja, from a clan like his. Not a noble clan, but a clan nonetheless.  Everyone praising him, girls fawning over him 24/7.

However, that’s definitely not the story.

Nori Metsuki was ridiculed, pointed and laughed at, gossiped about…

He was a ‘dork’.

And why? Well, the ‘freak’ never showed anyone his eyes! That’s why! His hair was always in his eyes, and in the slight chance of his hair being moved, his eyes would be closed SHUT! What was with this weird kid? I mean, his entire family was just a bunch of freaks!

…is exactly what the kids at the Academy thought about him and his family. Originally, their clan wasn’t from Konoha, which is why the customs weren’t accepted easily with the others. Only a few kids had the decency to not care either way, but Nori didn’t want to make friends with them either.

Nori tried his hand at being super social. Then he went ahead and tried to be anti-social. Nothing seemed to get the kids to stop teasing.

And besides that, he was still trying to figure out what kind of chakra was his! Water? Wind? That sort of thing wasn’t handed down in the family, so Nori had to decide on his own.

“Hey no-eyes!”

Nori turned and glared (an unnoticed attempt, he realized later) at the kid to address him. A kid from a higher level in the Academy. “What do you want?”

“Just wanted to know if you’d let me see your eyes…” The boy waltzed over to Nori and pointed at his forehead. “Or tell me why you hide it?”

“Oh I’d lo-“ He cut himself off. Remember what Dad said…remember what Dad said…remember what Dad said…

“You’d what now?”

“I’d love to tell you, but I can’t. So sorry.” Nori quickly turned his shoulder at the pony-tailed boy with long bangs and walked away. He didn’t know where, but he was walking.

The boy glared at Nori’s back as he walked off. “Freak…”

Nori just steamed the entire way home.

“Mom!” Nori called throughout the house. “Moooooom!!”

“Yes Nori?” She walked down the stairs, her long blonde hair covering both eyes and down barely to her shoulders.

“I can’t figure it out.” Nori sulked and shoved his hands in his pockets. “Should I use wind? Or earth? What?!”

She hugged Nori and sat him on her lap. “Listen Nori…it’s not supposed to be easy! But you could go buy something that enhances a type of chakra…and see if that one works for you!”

Nori’s eyes shone bright as he imagined himself at the top of the class with his newfound abilities. “Thanks mom!” He jumped off her lap and ran out the door.

Nori’s mother smiled until the door was closed, and quickly grabbed her coat and went out the back door. I shouldn’t upset him if I’m not sure…

Nori walked through Konohagakure, looking at every other store. They’re all regular weapons…I need some chakra enhancing weapons…

All of a sudden, a store caught his eyes. “Custom Fans” was on a sign near the top. “Fans…?” Nori wondered what kids would think about him using a fan. He smiled evilly. “I like it.”

And he walked into the store.

He walked out of the store, less cash in his pocket, but plenty more to carry on his back. A large white fan proudly showing his clan symbol in a bright blue color. Nori smiled as he walked back home, and quickly snuck into the backyard.

He took the fan off his shoulders and gently held it in his hands. So now I have a weapon…I just hope it works… Nori grabbed one end with both hands and let the fan fly open.

He eyed the bright blue color covering the entire inside of the fan…it was bright, almost blinding, just the way he’d asked for it. It was a little heavy for him, but Nori kept his head and shoulders up. He closed his eyes and inhaled slowly…then took a swing.

The force of the wind from that first blow wasn’t too powerful, but it was powerful for someone his age. His house shook a bit, the tree in the backyard had started to pull out of it’s roots.

Nori panted and dropped to the ground. I used a lot of chakra in that… He hadn’t been very good at chakra control before, and was known to use too much at one time. I’d better work on that… Nori suddenly dropped his fan and plopped to the ground.

He awoke a few hours later, right in bed, with his new fan leaning against the wall. He sighed and stared at it, just as his mother sauntered into his room.

“Mom! Did you see my new fan? It’s definitely my chakra ty-“ Nori stopped in mid-sentence after noticing his mother’s red cheeks and bleary eyes. “Mom…?”

“Your father is dead.”

Nori stared at his mother with wide eyes. When did this happen?! Dad was just on a mission! Just another mission! Nothing big about that!

“He was killed by his own team members during their-“ She sobbed. “-their mission.”

“Wait…he…he was killed by Konoha nin?!” Nori’s expression hadn’t changed. His cheeks started turning red and his eyesight became blurry.

“Yes…they were…well, traitors. He didn’t actually get killed by them…but when they started to attack…he used…well…it…” Tears started to form in her eyes, along with Nori’s.

“He said he’d never use that! Especially not when he’s weak…I mean…why would he-“

“Oh, Nori…” She ran and hugged him as they cried in each other’s arms.

“Mom…”

A few days after, everything had died down a bit. Of course everyone was still sad, but Nori needed to be ready for training his hardest.

“So, no-eyes, what’s with the girly fan? Is it too hot out for ya? Huh?” The same boy as before came up to Nori and poked him in the forehead.

Nori glared at him (the close distance made it noticeable). “I can show you, this time.” Nori backed away from the boy and grabbed one end of the fan with both hands.

“What’re you gonna do, cool me off?”

Nori shot the fan open, giving the boy enough time to be taken aback by the neon colors, then swung the fan with a more powerful force then any other time, sending the boy flying!

Nori smiled up where the boy was last visible, and kept staring till he couldn’t hear him screaming anymore.

“Heh…that helped.”

Years later, Nori had just gotten his official hitai ate. He wore it strangely around his forehead where no one could see it, but nobody commented about it.

“Houkeikousa Sho…Kwan Kyari…and Metsuki Nori…”

Nori looked around the room at his two new teammates sitting next to each other and high-fiving. Great. They’re already friends, so they won’t want to be friends with me…

At the first day of training, they met with their sensei, Houkeikousa Akiru (which Sho was happy to hear about). She didn’t look much like Sho for being his Aunt, but they had the same hair and eye colors. He soon learned of Sho’s abilities: taijutsu. He looked up to some older kid named Lee that he talked about a lot…Nori didn’t know him. He studied the girl, Kyari. He didn’t know much about her, except that she lived alone and she used earth chakra. She called herself the “Master of Disguise,” but he had yet to see her as anything besides herself.

But she was kinda cute, when he thought about it.

Of course, though, she treated him how all those kid’s did. Doing everything for him, as if he were some blind little kid. One day, he just confronted her.

“Look, stop doing everything for me! I’m not some blind little kid!”

“Excuse me?!” Kyari glared back at him. “I’m not treating you like some ‘blind little kid’!”

“Then why do you keep doing everything for me?!” He motioned to her cleaning up some kunai knives.

“Okay, one: THESE ARE MINE! And two: It’s called helping out a friend! You ass!” Then she slapped him across the face, grabbed her kunai, and walked off.

Nori stared as she walked off. Helping out a…friend?!

“HEY NORI!” Sho ran up and patted him on the back. “What’s u- HEY! What happened?! Your face is all red! And in the shape of a hand!?”

“Sho…”

“Oh my god! Did you, like…be a pervert towards Kyari and she slapped you?!” Sho gave him the evil eye.

“No! Definitely not!” Nori’s face turned red as he held up his hands. “It was…a…uhm…Kyari was practicing genjutsu and tried to get me to slap myself! That’s it!”

“Oh. Well, good!” Sho waved his pointer finger towards Nori. “Cuz any guy who acts pervy towards Kyari is just a jerk! I hate guys like tha-“ Sho stopped mid-sentence to glare at the kid who was walking by.

Hane Hyuuga looked over. “Hi…?”

“DON’T YOU DARE GO NEAR KYARI YOU FREAKING PERVERT MY GOD IF YOU TOUCH HER I’M GONNA GO PSYCHO ON YOU MAN YOU BETTER NOT GO NEAR HE-“ He was cut off by Nori’s hand.

“Sho. Shut. Up.”

Sho looked where Hane was before and noticed that he’d left. “Okay!” Sho skipped off, humming some weird…happy, song.

Sho is officially an annoying idiot… Nori sighed and rubbed his temples. “Can’t wait to see how we all turn out in the end.”

Nori’s parents can go ahead and be fandonly guessed until I work it all out. You’ll see it eventually, and a lot’ll be done with stuff about his father.
